Daily Shopify exceptions: low stock, stuck orders and anything unusual

Each morning the Bot reads your store through Shopify's Grok connector and sends a short list: variants running low, orders unfulfilled too long, and orders that look unusual. Inventory changes wait for you.

What the Bot is set up to do

  1. Connect Shopify through Shopify's Grok connector. Grant the narrowest permissions that cover the job; reading orders and inventory is enough for this report.
  2. Give it reorder points per product, or let it suggest them from the last 60 days of sales.
  3. Add a daily routine for 7:30 a.m.

Every day at 7:30am, check my Shopify store and send me exceptions only:

1. Low stock: variants at any location that will run out in under [14] days at the last 30 days' sales rate. Show units on hand, units sold per day, and days left (units on hand ÷ units per day).
2. Stuck orders: paid orders not fulfilled after [48] hours, oldest first.
3. Unusual: orders over $[amount], several orders to one address, or a product whose sales doubled or halved week over week.

Then draft a reorder list for [supplier] with quantities to cover [30] days, for my approval.
Don't change inventory, products or orders.

Before you run it

  • According to RetailBoss, the connector can't refund or cancel paid orders, change payment settings or publish to a live theme, and some tasks need write access. Review its analysis before acting on it.

Business fit

Who this helps, and how:

  • Shopify & ecommerceSmall stores without an ops hire catch stockouts and late shipments before customers email.
  • Local & serviceShops and cafés selling through Shopify can watch stock by location the same way.
  • StartupsDTC and hardware startups see sell-through daily without building dashboards.

How to adapt it

For seasonal products, use the same weeks last year instead of the last 30 days.

Add your supplier's lead time so the reorder date allows for shipping.

Send the reorder list from the Bot's own email address. Mail it sends from there still waits for your approval.
