Draft LinkedIn and X posts in your own voice, ready to approve
Debbie O'Brien set up one Bot per channel on launch day. Her LinkedIn Bot pulled her recent posts to learn how she writes.
Explain it simply
Debbie set up a separate AI assistant for each social network she posts on. Before writing anything, her LinkedIn assistant read her recent posts to learn how she writes. It then drafts posts in her style.
What was done
Debbie O’Brien set up Grok Bot on launch day and recorded the process. She named each Bot after its job: a coding Bot, a LinkedIn Bot, an email Bot, an X Bot and later a chief of staff.
The LinkedIn Bot asked what she wanted (posts and comments) and how to write. She chose 'match my existing posts,' and it pulled her recent posts to learn the style.
She later added a video-editor Bot for recuts, thumbnails and audio, a YouTube Bot that uploads unlisted first, a blog Bot that cross-posts, and a travel Bot.
How it went
Her takeaways: name the Bot after the job, give it a real job, and don't create a Bot for every subtask.
- A setup walkthrough, not a results report: no engagement numbers.
- The walkthrough doesn't cover approvals; keep posting behind yours.
Prompt
You're my LinkedIn Bot.
First, read my last 30 posts and write a six-line style guide: length, hooks, tone, formatting, emoji and calls to action. Wait for my OK.
Then, twice a week, draft two posts from [my blog, changelog or Notion notes] and park them for my approval.
Never publish, comment or message anyone without my approval.
Setup notes
- Create one Bot per channel and name it after the job.
- Connect the account and let the Bot study your recent posts first.
- Approve a short style guide before the first draft.
- Add a routine for drafting days and keep posting behind approval.
Business fit
Who this helps, and how:
- CreatorsCreators keep a steady posting rhythm without writing every post from scratch.
- Solo foundersFounders who build in public can turn changelogs and notes into posts.
- AgenciesAgencies can run one channel Bot per client voice, trained on that client's posts.
