One Telegram Message Starts an n8n Pipeline That Makes and Uploads a Faceless YouTube Video
A community builder's n8n workflow writes the script, makes the voiceover, finds stock footage, renders the video and uploads it to YouTube as unlisted for review, at about $0.30 of voice cost per 10-minute video. No channel views or earnings are reported.

Explain it simply
A "faceless" YouTube channel posts videos without showing the creator's face. This builder used n8n, a tool for linking apps into automatic steps, so one message to a Telegram bot makes AI write a script, a computer voice read it, stock video clips get added and the finished video uploads to YouTube as "unlisted" (hidden from the public) so he can check it first. Each 10-minute video costs about 30 cents in voice fees, but he didn't share any views or earnings.
How it works
- A Telegram message (or a schedule) starts the n8n workflow.
- An AI model such as GPT-4o-mini or Claude returns the script as fixed JSON: intro, voiceover segments, image prompts and outro.
- ElevenLabs voices each segment, and Pexels supplies matching stock footage, falling back to AI images.
- Shotstack renders the MP4, and the YouTube API uploads it as unlisted so you can review it before it goes public.
- A Google Sheet tracks each stage, so a failed run picks up where it stopped.
How it went
He reports about 10 minutes of audio generated in 2 minutes, a 3 to 5 minute render for a 10-minute video, and about $0.30 of ElevenLabs cost per video. A YouTube upload uses 1,600 of the default 10,000 daily quota units, so about six uploads a day. He shares no channel results.
- His money ideas (AdSense, selling the template, affiliate links, setup services) are suggestions, and his template and video links were sample links, not working pages.
Prompt
System: "Return only valid JSON with keys: intro_text, voiceover_segments
(array of strings, 6 to 10 items), image_prompts (array, same length, each
a short stock-footage search phrase), outro_text. Topic: [topic]. Length:
about [10] minutes spoken. Facts must be accurate; no medical or financial
advice."
Pipeline: Telegram trigger -> LLM (JSON) -> ElevenLabs per segment ->
Pexels search per prompt (fallback: AI image) -> Shotstack timeline ->
YouTube upload as UNLISTED -> Telegram notice -> Sheet status
(script_done, voice_done, video_done). Add an error workflow and retry on
the ElevenLabs and Shotstack nodes.
