Chains Use Canva Resize and Magic Switch to Turn One Promo Into Every Format
COBS Bread's 160 bakeries cut design turnaround times by 30% with shared Canva templates, and Movement Gyms says Resize and Magic Switch help its teams save time. One master design becomes posts, stories and printouts.

Explain it simply
Design the promotion once in Canva, then let Resize and Magic Switch make the Instagram story, the square post and the A4 poster versions. Check each one by eye, because text and photos can land in odd places.
What was done
The chains keep master designs in Canva and use Resize and Magic Switch to produce each channel's format, then adjust each version by hand.
How it went
COBS Bread (undated case study): "cut down design turnaround times by 30%, and saved them 50% on subscription fees". Movement Gyms, in Canva's Feb 3, 2025 roundup, says the tools are "helping teams save 85% more time."
- Both are chains or franchises in vendor material; no solo-shop result with numbers was found.
- Resize and Magic Switch need Canva Pro; on the free plan, duplicate and adjust by hand.
Prompt
Context: You are the owner or marketing person at a café, bakery, gym or shop who makes one weekly promotion and needs it in 4-6 formats.
STEP 1: MASTER COPY PROMPT (Canva AI or Magic Write):
"Write promo copy for [BUSINESS_NAME] ([BUSINESS_TYPE]). Promotion: [PROMO] from [START_DATE] to [END_DATE]. Give me: a headline (max 6 words), a subline (max 12 words), a 1-sentence detail line with any terms from [TERMS], and a call to action using [CTA_METHOD]. Also give a 3-word version of the headline for small formats like stories and menu boards. Never invent prices or terms."
STEP 2: RESIZE PLAN (do in Canva after the master design is approved)
Formats needed: [FORMAT_LIST]
For each format:
1. Resize/Magic Switch from the master (Pro), or duplicate and adjust by hand (Free).
2. Use the 3-word headline when the format is small.
3. Keep the logo and price fully visible; move nothing into the top/bottom 10% of stories.
4. Print versions: check bleed and [PRINT_SIZE] before ordering.
5. Name files [BUSINESS_NAME]-[PROMO]-[format] so staff post the right one.
